Despite ongoing concerns around tariffs and geopolitical tensions, the stock market delivered a surprisingly strong performance in June.

The S&P 500 rose by 6.15% during the month, pushing the index back into positive territory for the year with a modest gain of 0.51%.

April proved to be a volatile month for the stock market, marked by sharp swings and mixed results across major U.S. indexes.

We expected heightened market volatility, and March certainly lived up to that expectation.

Market volatility arrived in February and we saw a decline of the S&P 500 by 1.3%.

The S&P 500 Index posted a 2.78% gain for the month.

The S&P 500 had another strong year in 2024, gaining an impressive 25.02%.

The S&P 500 had its strongest month of the year, rising 5.43%, bringing its total return for 2024 to an impressive 28.07%.

Despite a slip of 0.91% in October, the index remains up an impressive 20.97% year-to-date.
